About Georgia

Up Way Publications 41st Anniversary

The Bible Apostolic Logo features the golden sun rising from a deep blue morning sky. The Bible as  the one foundation upon which we build and are establishes is marked open by the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Great Creator who so loved us  that He became flesh and dwelt among us, then bled and died to pay the debt for our sins. The golden sun arc doubles to represent the open tomb from  which He arose triumphant. The descending dove represents the coming of the Holy Spirit to us and the flame represents the fire and power of the Holy Spirit in the life of every true believer. When asked if we are Fundamentalist, we are more Fundamental than they. Are we Evangelistic? Very! Are we Baptist? We place a higher value on Biblical water baptism than the Baptists. Are we Pentecostal? We definitely believe in the entire of the Acts 2 experience including that the promise of 2:38 and 39 is to all that the Lord our God shall call. Are we Apostolic? Our desire and goal is to preach, teach and practice that exact same Gospel that Jesus Christ and His Original Apostles taught and would still be teaching if here in person, as we prayerfully try to be their faithful representatives. — Samuel M. Smith, Editor,
Presiding Elder

How to Hand Fold Tracts, etc.

Your order of Total Gospel tracts is shipped flat because they can be more easily packed that way, requiring a smaller box and generally will arrive at their destination in better condition than if they were folded. It is also less expensive at the printing shop.

Folding tracts, small pamphlets, etc., can be a relatively easy task if you follow these simple directions. When properly done and after only a very little experience, you should be able to fold 100 tracts in 3 to 4 minutes with greater accuracy than a tabletop folding machine. (To set up a folder requires at least that long and will waste up to 10 or 12 copies.)

1.   Pick up about ten (10) sheets of the exact same size (different name tracts may be slightly different sizes due to cutter settings although all are specified to be the same size). "Jog" or tap them on a flat, solid surface to assure perfect alignment of all edges. Bend all tracts (more or less) in the direction they are to be folded. Make sure that the center sheets extend farther than the outer ones in a nice even  >   shape as illustrated in Fig. 1.

When you have them bent as illustrated, crease the bend to fold. Be sure to grip firmly with one hand while creasing to avoid slippage. With practice, up to twenty or more may be folded at once.

After "Jogging" on flat surface to align all edges, bend as shown at right.
The more even the  >   of the page ends, the more accurate your primary fold will be.

2.  Release some pressure and pull tracts from the center, stacking them all the same way and using your little finger to maintain a
light pressure on the stack of bent tracts while you continue to separate from the center.

3.  Turn the tracts as illustrated in Figs. 2 and 3. Hold with a light grip at about mid-point as shown in Fig. 2. Tap lightly across top to assure that all edges are even against the tabletop or other flat surface. This is MOST IMPORTANT to assure straight and even folds. When all edges are even on tabletop, grip firmly with hand as shown in Fig. 2 and crease the whole set of loops, beginning at the middle and moving outward to the ends.

Fig. 2Hand folding Tracts 2
Place bent pages on edge as shown, with creases and loops at top. A light pressure of the thumb and forefinger near the center of the pages should be just enough to support them upright.

Fig. 3Hand folding tracts 3
Tap lightly across top of loops to assure that all page edges are even on tabletop. Tighten grip shown in Fig 2 to very firm. Now use your free hand to clamp the bundle of loops, beginning at the center and moving out to each end.

This method, when practiced a few times may also be used for larger pages and even for index weight covers. Thinner papers may allow up to 15 or 20 sheets to be successfully folded at one time when experience has been gained, while 5 or 6 may be the limit for index, Bristol or tag stock.
